Contribution Policy
We are delighted to receive proposals and code contributions from anyone. To protect the project and the active community, we request that those submitting code provide us with their acceptance of our Contribution Agreement. Our primary concern is that we ensure that the Open Quark code remains ‘clean’ with respect to intellectual property ownership and copyright. In accepting with the terms of the Contribution Agreement, you are simply stating that the code you will contribute is wholly your own to give. Our policy with respect to copyright is that code authors give copyright to the Open Quark project, and retain rights themselves.
There are two licenses governing the use of Open Quark software, and therefore there are two separate contribution agreements. The two agreements are:
The BSD Contribution Agreement [*COMING SOON*]
The Eclipse Contribution Agreement [*COMING SOON*]
To signal your agreement with the terms of the appropriate contribution agreement(s), you simply need to send an email to the project coordinator, attaching a copy of the document(s) with the simple text “I AGREE” in the body of the mail.
